      Competition 2 - A home made poppy
  Thursday 26th   Annual General Meeting
      Champion Class - Open to all past winners of the shields for monthly competitions. The best pot plant (Max. pot size 25cms) Winner Prize - £10 Garden Voucher
       
December Thursday 3rd   Christmas Party - 7pm Ticket only on sale at November meetings. A Victorian Family's Musical Christmas by Morning Dew
      Competition 3 - A Christmas Party hat (to be worn at the party)

      Gardeners Question Time - answers to modern techniques & Victorian remedies by Chris Smith, Pennards Plants Nursery (plants available)
       
April Thursday 8th   Hanging Baskets by Mike & Carol Hinwood, Foxley Road Nurseries (plants available)
      Competition 6 - A photo of a Spring garden
       
May Thursday 13th   Hidcote: A garden created by Lawrence Johnston by Mr. Coombs (plants available)
      Competition 7 - A foliage plant - max. 25cm pot
  Thursday 27th   Social Evening to be arranged.
       
June Saturday 5th   Coffee Morning & Plant Sale - venue to be arranged
       
July Thursday 15th   President's Garden Party - venue to be arranged

SCHEDULE     SPRING BULB SHOW  11th March 2010

Class 1 One Bowl of Hyacinths no more than 10" diameter Class 10 A Foliage Houseplant
Class 2 One Pot of Large Flowered Daffodils - Single Headed Class 11 A Vase of 3 Tulips
Class 3 One Pot of Miniature Daffodils or narcissi  -may be of mixed varieties Class 12 A Vase of 5 large flowered Daffodils
Class 4 One Pot or Bowl of Crocus Class 13 A Vase of 7 miniature Daffodils - may be mixed
Class 5 One Pot or Bowl of Tulips Class 14 A Vase of mixed Spring flowers & foliage
Class 6 One Amaryllis Class 15 A Victoria Sponge  Cake using own recipe
Class 7 A container of any plant grown from a bulb, corm or rhizome Class 16 A hand-made & decorated Easter Card
Class 8 An Orchid plant Class 17 'Easter'  An arrangement of Flowers & Foliage to interpret
Class 9 A flowering Houseplant excluding Orchids   Easter - accessories may be included, some material may be
      purchased
HAAG CUP (presented by Mr & Mrs G L Haag) will be awarded to the best Exhibit in Classes 1 to 7 TAYLOR CUP (presented by the family of the Late Bernie Taylor) will be awarded to the best exhibit in Classes 8 to 14 WELLS CUP (presented by Mr & Mrs M Wells) will be awarded to the best exhibit in Classes 15 to 17
